Freestyle Camps

If you are an athlete interested in moguls or freeski (park and pipe), a CVA camp is for you. As the sport of freestyle skiing has evolved, so has the way in which these student-athletes train. With a focus on development and performance, CVA offers training camps to help freestyle student-athletes reach their optimal performance.

List of 1 items.

  • 2025 Mogul & Freeski Summer Camp

CVA is excited to offer the 2025 Mogul & Freeski Summer Camp, a progressive training opportunity for developing freestyle athletes. The camp is structured in three distinct phases: trampoline training, aerial jump development (at two separate venues based on discipline), and on-snow skiing at Mount Hood.

This modular approach allows athletes to train in a cohesive, skill-building progression while accommodating those with different event focuses: Moguls and Freeski. Athletes will remain together for Phases 1 and 3, with a discipline-specific split in Phase 2.

Although we recommend your athlete to join all 3 phases, it is an option for you to chose which phase(s) you want your athlete to join.

    Phase 1 – Trampoline Training July 6–8
This entry-level phase focuses on trampoline and skate development. It’s open to a wide range of ability levels and is a perfect starting point for Weekend Program athletes and younger participants.

Space is limited and we expect high interest due to its accessibility and broad appeal.

Phase 2 – Jump Progression (Water Ramps or Bag Jump) July 8-10
This more advanced phase is discipline-specific and includes overnight travel:
    • Mogul Skiers will travel to the Quebec Water Ramp facility.
    • Park Athletes will head to Maximise, located north of Montreal, to train on the airbag.
Phase 2 is selective and intended for athletes with a higher skill base who are ready for this next level of aerial progression.

Phase 3 – On-Snow Training at Mount Hood July 13-20
This phase provides on-snow lane access for both Park and Mogul athletes:
    • Park athletes will train in terrain park features with coaches from both Academy and Weekend programs.
    • Mogul skiers will have access to a dedicated mogul lane.
    • All athletes will share lodging, creating a full-team training experience.
This phase is currently available as a deposit-only registration. Final pricing will be confirmed once participation numbers are finalized and will include flights, lodging, and related logistics. We do not anticipate the final cost exceeding the deposit by much and will aim to remain close to that number.

Eligibility: Athletes aged 9-15 with USASA or USSA memberships.
