Health & Wellness

At Carrabassett Valley Academy, we prioritize a comprehensive approach to health and wellness. Our Athletic Health Care Team adheres to the standards set by the National Athletic Trainers' Association and works closely with administrators, coaches, parents, and athletes to ensure comprehensive care and support for all student-athletes.

Comprehensive health approach

By providing on-site services, Carrabassett Valley Academy aims to reduce lost school time and alleviate travel costs. Our facilities include a health center within the dormitories, staffed by a full-time Registered Nurse, always ensuring accessible healthcare support. Additionally, our campus features an athletic training office with two full-time certified and licensed Athletic Trainers, equipped to manage sports-related health needs promptly.
Carrabassett Valley Academy is the only Ski & Snowboard Academy with dedicated Mental Performance programming for our athletes. This specialized support enhances our student-athletes' mental resilience and performance on and off the slopes.
Our commitment to safety and well-being extends to comprehensive training in CPR, First Aid, and suicide prevention for our staff, teachers, and coaches. This ensures a proactive approach to emergencies and mental health challenges within our community. Onsite mental health counseling is available, providing student-athletes with immediate access to support services when needed.
